Data recording and protection
As at: December 2015
Scope of applicability
You will find the legal basis for data protection in the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz).
The collection, processing and use of personal data
You can visit our website without providing us with any information about yourself. We only store access data which is not related to specific people, for example the name of your Internet service provider or the website from which you visit us. This data will be evaluated exclusively for the purpose of improving our website and does not allow any inference to be made regarding you. Personal data will only be collected if you voluntarily provide us with it in connection with an order for goods or a booking request for participation in an event, or when opening a customer account or registering for our newsletter. We will only use the data provided by you without your separate consent to fulfil and process your order. When the contract has been fully performed and the purchase price has been paid in full, your data will be blocked for further use and it will be erased after the end of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have explicitly consented to further use of your data. When you subscribe for the newsletter, your e-mail address will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Access data / Server log files
The website operator (or its webspace provider) collects data on each accessing of the website (so-called server log files).
The access data includes:
The name of the accessed website, the file, the time and date of the access, the quantity of data transferred, a notification of successful access, the browser type and version, the user’s operating system, the referrer URL (the previously visited page), the IP address and the requesting provider.
The website operator only uses the log files for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the website. However, it reserves the right to subsequently examine the log files if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on specific indications.
User comments and contributions
If users post comments, for example in the blog, or other contributions, their IP addresses will be stored. This is necessary for the website operator in case someone writes unlawful content in comments or contributions (abusive language, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). If this occurs, the website operator may face legal action itself for the comment or contribution. It therefore has an interest in knowing the identity of the author.
Integration of services and content of third parties
It may occur that content of third parties is integrated into this website, such as YouTube videos, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always requires that the website operators for that content (hereinafter referred to as “third website operators”) detect the users’ IP addresses. Without the IP addresses, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of that content. We make every effort to only use content whose respective website operators only use the IP address for the delivery of the content. However, we are unable to prevent third website operators from storing the IP address, for example for statistical purposes. If we are aware of this, we will inform the users.
Passing on personal data
Your data will be passed on to the shipping company which is hired to make the delivery, if this is necessary to deliver the goods. For the processing of payments, we will give your payment data to the credit institution which is responsible for handling the payment.
If we provide advance deliveries, in order to protect our legitimate interests we may obtain information on your creditworthiness based on mathematical/statistical processes from SCHUFA Holding AG, Kormoranweg 5, 65201 Wiesbaden. Your interests that merit protection shall be taken into account in accordance with the provisions of law. The information will not be passed on to any other third parties.
Right to information
Under the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz), you have the right to receive information, free of charge, on your stored data, as well as the right to have that data corrected, blocked or erased.
You may have explicitly granted the following consent. We would like to inform you that you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Permission for e-mail advertising
I would like to regularly receive interesting offers by e-mail. My e-mail address will not be passed on to other companies. I can withdraw this consent to use my e-mail address for advertising purposes at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the end of this newsletter.
Data protection contact

The use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files which are stored on your computer and make it possible to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies on your use of this website will generally be transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA. However, if the IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first abbreviate your IP address in Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases only, the full IP address will be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. We would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and therefore IP addresses will only be further processed in abbreviated form in order to prevent them from being linked to particular individuals. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use that information to assess your use of the website in order to prepare reports on the website activities and to provide other services to the website operator associated with the use of the website and the use of the Internet. The IP address provided by your browser
within the framework of Google Analytics will not be combined with any other Google data. You can prevent the storage of the cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, please note that if you do so you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie that relates to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google or the processing of that data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link. The current link is http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
The use of Facebook social plug-ins
This service uses social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of the social network Facebook. The Facebook network is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Facebook’s plug-ins are marked with a Facebook logo or the label “Social plug-in from Facebook” or “Facebook social plug-in”. You can find general information on Facebook plug-ins and their appearance at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If you call up a page of our website which contains such a plug-in, your browser will create a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The content of the plug-in will be transferred by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the website by it. By integrating the plug-in, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the relevant page of our website, regardless of whether you have a Facebook account or are logged into Facebook at that time. This information and your IP address will be transferred by your browser directly onto a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can directly attribute your visit to our website to your Facebook account. If you interact with the relevant plug-in, for example if you press the “Like” button or post a comment, the relevant information will also be directly transferred to a Facebook server and stored there. The information will also be published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.
Facebook may use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and, as required, for designing the Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook will create use, interest and relationship profiles, for example in order to evaluate your use of our website with respect to advertisements displayed to you at Facebook, to inform other Facebook users of your activities on our website and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to assign data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before you visit our website.
It is also possible to block Facebook social plug-ins with add-ons for your browser, for example with the “Facebook Blocker”.
This website uses buttons of the Internet service Twitter, which are provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They are distinguished by words such as “Twitter” or “Follow” combined with a stylised blue bird. With the aid of the buttons, a contribution or page of this service can be shared on Twitter, or the website operator can be followed on Twitter.
If a user accesses a page of our website which contains such a button, his/her browser will create a direct connection with Twitter’s servers. The content of the Twitter buttons will be transferred directly to the user’s browser by Twitter. The website operator therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Twitter collects with the aid of that plug-in and informs the users to the best of its knowledge, according to which only the IP address of the user and the URL of the respective website are transmitted with the use of the button, but for no other purposes than the display of the button.
